A surf school built on 40 years in the water
Pro Surf Coaching Academy is a quality Surf School with 40 years of surfing experience which has enabled us to develop a unique methodology for surf lessons and programs. We are focused on safety and results.
We are suitable for all age groups and surfers’ levels: from a complete beginner needing to establish strong fundamentals and safety on the beach, all the way to an experienced competitor committed to enhancing their technique to achieve their best performance.

Surf & skate lessons
We provide SURF and SKATE lessons for all levels of surfers, from complete beginners to highly advanced and experienced competitors. Our surf lessons go for 2 hrs, combining surf and skate.

A small group of similar-skill surfers, maximum 8 students, at Smiths Beach.

Pro Surf Coaching also provides Surf-On-Land Training by incorporating the use of the SmoothStar skateboard, arguably the world’s best surf training tool, out of the water.
Combining surf lessons with SmoothStar lessons, students of all abilities benefit greatly from this unique combination of coaching, helping to improve technique, body position and flow on a wave.
Training on the SmoothStar optimises your time on top of the board, as it assists in training the repetitive muscle memory required for improving technique, body position and flow on a wave. It is also independent of surf conditions.
From Phillip Island to the Mentawais
Our Surf Clinics and Surf Camps combine surf coaching, on land surf training and important health and wellbeing topics that we know surfers of all levels want to incorporate into their lives to be fit, healthy and happy, and to be surfing better and better every day.
As a licensed tour operator we can handle the whole trip: equipment, transport, accommodation, meals and everything in between.

Quality equipment for hire in different sizes and shapes. Instructions on use and transport of equipment will be provided.
